Meet Our Family.

Vermont Aged Care has been serving the Vermont and surrounding community since 1981 – over 35 years. In fact, our family commenced at Vermont in 1989 and has called Melbourne home for the last 50 years. Better still, we come from a family centric Indian heritage. This, coupled with our Australian upbringing, has shaped and personalised our service. In fact, it has enabled the compassionate and genuine care for elders that Vermont Aged Care families love. What’s more, our family centric heritage has firmly embedded the role of “elders in our community”. This results in our elders being honoured and respected. Best of all, we show respect to our elders’ and value their input to our Vermont Community. In fact, we believe this should be the case at all times, commensurate with their age and lifetime of wisdom gained.

Did you know that we are centrally located within minutes of families based in Vermont, Ringwood, Mitcham, Forest Hill, Nunawading, Blackburn, Heathmont, Wantirna and Bayswater? This helps us achieve our focus on providing high quality nursing and specialist care whilst keeping families close. Further, we strive to enable our elders to love every day. Also, we create a meaningful and caring atmosphere for them to call home, right here at Vermont Aged Care. In fact, recently Gary & Gerry (the first generation of adult children) have returned to working full-time at our nursing home in Vermont. They did this after careers in teaching and corporate, respectively. This continues the legacy Tom and Mary created. Further, their combined decades of learning and formal study have reinvigorated our status as a leading aged care provider in Vermont. Better still, they are partnered with our leadership team. They have over 100 years experience in the aged care industry between them!

In conclusion, we understand how difficult and confusing it can be to determine the best residential and care support for an elderly family member. The fact is, we are uniquely placed to help you understand your options. Further, this support is crucial to helping you make the best choice for you and your family. So if you have a loved one who may need our help, you will be pleased with the way we do things at Vermont.
